What is carved

The pillar is decorated with animal reliefs, including a bull, fox and long-legged bird identified as a crane in published descriptions. The figures occupy different faces of the stone. [1][2]

Scholarly debate

The reliefs are part of the repeated animal imagery on the enclosure pillars; their precise symbolic meanings are unknown. [1][2]
